Heaven for vultures: visit Jorbeer Conservation Reserve near Bikaner for Egyptian, Griffon and Cinereous vultures, golden light and ethical viewing.
Jorbeer Conservation Reserve sits on the outskirts of Bikaner (≈12 km). Each winter, thousands of raptors — especially vultures — gather here. We plan low-impact sessions that maximize sightings while keeping respectful distances.
10+ years’ experience guiding at Jorbeer and across Rajasthan’s desert habitats.
I’m an engineer turned conservation guide in the Thar Desert. For the last decade I’ve wide studied wildlife around Sambhar Lake, Tal Chhapar, Jorbeer, Shokaliya, and Desert National Park. My shift began in childhood near Bikaner’s old dump, watching vultures I once feared until my grandfather called them gentle cleaners.
Years later, working in construction built a lot of roads I don't know how many trees cut down. One day sermon at a Shiv Math struck me: a single tree shelters countless lives.after Realizing the harm.
I left engineering, joined a field group, and start roaming in the desert and worked in that group for the years but that group never promoted my name and I never got my own identity. Then I started working in wildlife on my own and went independent. Today I lead responsible experiences to build empathy, raise awareness, and protect the desert’s creatures and habitats.
I May Not Be a Doctor, but I Believe in the Healing Power of Nature.
I’m not a doctor, and I don’t prescribe medicine. But I believe that sometimes what we need is not another prescription, but a moment in nature.
That belief inspired me to start an organisation called The Imperial Jatayu, with a simple purpose: to take people away from the noise of everyday life and bring them closer to the wild.
From the Thar to the Aravalli, we create journeys where you can breathe deeply, slow down, and experience wildlife in its most beautiful form.
Because sometimes nature doesn’t just give you a journey; it gives you a feeling you carry back home.
